For years we have been learning and sharing info about the Lymphatic Glands. We have also created a product that helps you cleanse your lymphatic glands. We want to take some time here to share with you why the lymphatic glands are so important, why we should fight to keep ALL of them, and ways to keep fluids moving through them.
When you get sluggish or lumpy lymphatic glands, not only does it mean that your lymph glands can’t work efficiently, it also can cause inflammation, decreased circulation, and soreness around your joints. Keeping your lymphatic fluids moving is an important part of nourishing and improving circulation to important areas of the body and to the joints. Lumps and bumps in your lymphatic system are a sign of this stagnation, and there are ways to help your body remove those lumps and bumps, restoring good circulation to the joints in your body.
We have put together a video with information about our Favorite Essential oils for the Lymph system as well as some basic techniques of Lymphatic Massage and Lymphatic Brushing.
We love the Lymph Cleanse Essential Oil Rollon. It has these oils in it: Wild Orange, Lemon, Grapefruit, Frankincense, Tangerine, Rosemary, Geranium, Juniper Berry, and Cilantro. (Essential Oils are in a base of Fractionated Coconut Oil). You can roll this on any area of the body that you have lymph glands (see image) and even use this oil as part of a daily Lymphatic massage routine.
The Roll of each Essential Oil added to the Lymph Cleanse:

Did you know we have more lymphatic fluids in our body than blood?
YES! The Lymphatic system is extremely important in protecting our body from harmful elements in the environment. The lymphatics don’t have a system that moves the fluid like the veins. The movement we get in the lymphatic system is moved by us. We have to walk, run, jump or otherwise actively stimulate our lymphatic system.
The Functions of the Lymph Glands
Our bodies have a network of lymph vessels and lymph nodes. (Lymph is pronounced limf.) This network is a part of the body’s immune system. It collects fluid, waste material, and other things (like viruses and bacteria) that are in the body tissues, outside the bloodstream.
Lymph vessels are a lot like the veins that collect and carry blood through the body. But instead of carrying blood, these vessels carry the clear watery fluid called lymph.
Lymph fluid flows out from capillary walls to bathe the body’s tissue cells. It carries oxygen and other nutrients to the cells, and carries away waste products like carbon dioxide (CO2) that flow out of the cells. Lymph fluid also contains white blood cells, which help fight infections.
Lymph fluid would build up and cause swelling if it were not drained in some way. That’s the role of the lymph vessels. Lymph vessels draw up the lymph fluid from around the cells to send it towards the chest. There, lymph fluid collects into a large vessel that drains into a blood vessel near the heart.
Lymph nodes and what they do
Lymph vessels route lymph fluid through nodes throughout the body. Lymph nodes are small structures that work as filters for harmful substances. They contain immune cells that can help fight infection by attacking and destroying germs that are carried in through the lymph fluid. (2)
The primary function of lymph nodes is filtering the fluids in our tissues. It collects this from the soft tissues and after cleansing, it returns it to the blood and vascular system. Filtering the lymph fluid allows for exposure of T-cells (fight abnormal cells) and B-cells (antibodies) to a wide range of immune fighting antigens.
This small bean-shaped structure is part of the body’s immune system. Lymph glands filter substances that travel through the lymphatic fluid, and they contain lymphocytes (white blood cells) that help the body to fight infection and disease. There are hundreds of lymph glands found throughout the body.
What are the three functions of lymph?
- It is the maintenance of fluid balance in the body
- It is the facilitation of the absorption of dietary fats from the gastrointestinal tract to the bloodstream for metabolism or storage
- It is the enhancement and facilitation of the immune system
What You Might Experience From a Lymph Cleanse
People that are cleansing their lymph glands each day are reporting a decrease in inflammation-related illness, soreness, allergies, weight gain, fluid retention and much more.
To keep your lymphatic system strong and healthy, you should:
- Avoid exposure to toxic chemicals like those in pesticides or cleaning products. These chemicals can build up in your system and make it harder for your body to filter waste.
- Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated so lymph can easily move throughout your body.
- Keep a healthy lifestyle that includes regular exercise and a nutritious diet.
An important thing to do for your body and the health of your lymph system is to get rid of aluminum-based deodorants. Mineral Salts Deodorant are a great substitute that work well and are not harmful to the body.
